DirectX 9 yay or nay

I have a GF4 Ti 4200 running WinXP-Home.

My card was designed for DirectX 8.1, but I know that there are some games comming out that will require DirectX 9.

Should I install it (directX 9.0)? Can I install it? :confused:

    Sure, install it, won't hurt. But I wouldnt buy a DX9 compatible video card until the games that make use of DX9 effects are actually released.

    i have a gf3 and dx9 runs fine, just get the newest dets too
