Soundcard problem

Hey guys.

Have any of yall had a problem where the microphone input from the soundcard started to sound horrible?

Right now its sound garbled with the current drivers, when i change to an older driver is sounds very faint, almost impossible to hear.

    did you check to see that the imput source works normally on other imputs(like another computer)? it may just be that the microphone or cable is screwed up. other than that, just keep trying different drivers

    there also may be some compatibility problem with the card and the mobo. like timinator said, try to isolate every portion of the problem until you find it. try the microphone, the cord, various settings, drivers, and even try putting the card in a different computer and see if the problem remains . . .
