Sometimes powering everything off, taking cards out after disconnecting PSU from mobo, leaving PSU disconnected, and resetting CMOS works after you reconnect mobo and put only video card back in (leave RAM in all the time). Every once in a while board gets staticed or battry gets left on before mobo is fastened into case. If anything gets shorted as mobo is put in place a CMOS reset might be very helpful.

try switching off the PSU, unplugging it, and plugging it back in. i think my cheapo 450w was causing some kind of short. hope that helps

Take it out of the case and see if that's the problem.

If it boots outside of the case, then take some electrical tape, or some pieces of a static-bag, and cut them to size to keep the mobo from touching the stand-offs or the screws from touching the mobo.

I just recently had to do this w/ an El-Cheapo case I got . . . get what you pay for.

i bought the tower thermaltake from newegg.com.

they were really nice at returning and exchaning mother board and cpu and stuff,.. but i hit some BAD luck there,

who would have guessed that it was the power supply, ,,

I EXPACT the powersupply to WORK properly IN USA standard..
so i just figured that it was the mother board or the cpu..

    bha.. whatever, it works not,

i dont even wana complain about this comptuer, just glad that it works,

my sound is kinda &(*&ed up. it like echos
and it reboots out of no where sometimes..
( i dont think its running too hot , i changed the settings on the bios when it should reboot, )
newayz, i have anymore probs ill prob find my self here..

    Hi
Newegg would not change the factory setting on your power
supply it was probably done at the factory that built it. Thats why
you should always read the directions and double check settings
on all hardware. Glad you found the problem and all is well. I have
made numerous purchases at Newegg and always get excellent
service and products. I even RMA ed a IBM hardrive to them and
they replaced it no trouble at all.
