Printer wows

I have an epson C-80 photo printer. I put all (4) new ink cartridges in about a month ago. My wife and I did some photo printing and it was fine. The printer has been sitting idle for about almost as long. Now I cant get what seems the fushia (reds) to print, my pics and color printing all have a green tint to them. Totaly useless printing. I did use the head cleaning utility about 10 times but it doesnt seem to help. Windows "print test page" is different looking too, colors wrong on flag. I do know if I were to leave the printer idle for more than a week, I would have to run 2 pages thru untill photo printing was up to snuff. What can I do if anything to salvage the print cartridges. They are about 3/4 full?
Or are new cartreidges in the works?
Thank You BruceY

id guess new cartridges. just a hunch, we had an old cannon that ate up cartridges too (and sometimes they never worked)

did u turn the power off to the printer without using the printer power button, If you unplug it or power it down from a power strip/surge protector the ink will dry out

Just the magenta one this time. And if it has been in a month you should take it back. They are 6 month guaranteed cartridges if you got Epson ones. You do not have to change all four at once on an Epson C80-- I have one also.

Is the printhead removeable on that one? If so, it´s easy to check.

Remove the printhead and the cartridges from it. Run HOT water from the tap and have the water flow through the printhead as long as you can see that the water is coloured. When clear, dry it with a lint-free cloth until it´s dry, put the cartridges back and the printhead into the printer. I have done this a million times and this procedure is safe. If you don´t want to do this, you have always the right to return the printer for a new one.

I just got off the phone and tech guy based on what I told him said it sounds like a print head problem. they are gonna send out another printer to me. Not sure I like the "refurbished" idea.
