What should the +12v and -12v read?

On my system

+12v reads 11.00v
-12v reads -2.2v

is this correct

    +12 should be at least 11.60v
    -12 should be close to -12.00v

    is it bad if it is at what i have posted

    it shows up in bois as 11.36 for +12v

    That's pretty low, but if it's stable then it aint broke :)

    It likely means your PSU isn't up to the task of running that system, and it's probably being stressed quite a bit and could lead to an earlier demise.

    Ignore the -12 readings, I've rarely seen those read accurately by any motherboard.

    16x dvd rom
    24x12x40 cdrw
    60gig WD
    20gig Maxtor
    3 80mm fans
    Shuttle AK37GT2
    AMD 1800+
    768 pc-2100

    the +12v is reading 11.00 to 10.94 now

    It's considered a "generic" psu by most standards, and even though the 'theoretical' load is 24A on that 12v line, it's obviously not delivering them...

    So, you have the option of returning it knowing there's a pretty serious problem, or possibly eating any return money and opening it to find/adjust any 'pots' on the internal circuit board (to force the 12v higher). I'd opt to either send it back or find someone to sell it to and get a decent 400watt antec psu.
