The court heard that the teenager hacked into Fermilab computers on 25 June 2002 and used them to store hundreds of gigabytes of copyrighted film and music files. i would think that the lab setup that hole in their security on purpose, to find whoever is smart enough to get at it. Then they recruit the person, or tell them they can have life in prison isntead. Id go with prison.

I'm just curious as to why? Because they used bait to find prospective employees, or do you just hate the government?
