I plugged my radeon 9100 into my tv via a s-video cable, and its so damn fuzzy... wtf is the deal? How can i get a nice clean image like a monitor? So i can read text

ditto, I've always had issues with TV out quality... same reason, same diagnosis.
There are television sets that are capable of higher resolutions, but you have to look for them and for their price, you mind as well get a seond, larger CRT.
I connected the svideo from my video card to my TV, and it was able to display 800x600, I could even do 1600x600 (800x600 on each) My TV is a new JVC 27" D series TV w/svideo/composite/component video however it can't do progressive scan.

as CRT .22 mm dot pitch monitors are closed out, deals can be had.
I still like flat screen crt's...but they will soon be gone from the mainstream.
