HP Photosmart 7550 problems.
I can't remember if I've posted this problem before, so bear with me if I have.
I have an HP 7550 photosmart printer with a USB 2 interface. It will install and work fine on any computer except my own. I'm using a Shuttle SS51G with onboard USB 2, so installing the printer shouldn't be a problem, but it is. At the point where the printer is supposed to be recognized as a new USB device, the 7550 Photosmart printer, it is recgonized as an unknown device and will not work.
This is the 3rd 7550 I've tried, thinking the other two were defective.
I don't have room for a PCI USB card as the one slot I have has a wireless nic (and I currently have to use it due to the distance from my router).
I've spent about an hour with HP tech support about this. They have no idea what the problem is.
I've talked to the retailer that I purchased it from, no help there.
I've emailed Shuttle and they don't have a clue.
I've systematically tried every combination of printer and USB settings in the bios, no change at all.
I even uninstalled and reinstalled Win2K to no avail.
Am I totally hosed here? I appreciate any suggestions you might have about getting the printer to install. Thanks.

I _think_ I just went into device manager and used the 'update drivers' feature. Searched the cd until I found the drivers then installed.
