HomePlug Ethernet Bridge?!

so, i was browsing fatwallet today, and i saw a deal on a homeplug ethernet bridge. you can connect to your pc's in other rooms using these powerline bridges. i remember hearing about these, and that they were trying to hook up internet this way in like japan or pango pango or something, but i didnt know they actually existed to buy in the consumer market. here are some of the products on new egg.

anyway, just curious if anybody has a little info on these guys. i think i read that anyone using the same transformer as you are can also hook up one of these bridges and gain access to your netwerk. any info would be appreciated . . .

    Wow that is really interesting.
    I would love to learn more about this technology cuz I live 30 miles from any high speed internet connection and the only internet types possible for us is crappy 56k, the $80/per month wireless(which isn't to bad except for the price), or $100/per month for satillite(no way!)...
