Windows Boot Help

Ok i installed linux on to my machine. I formatted the drives that had linux on it in winodws with partition magic. no the bott loader just gives me some wierd command line thing. how can i get that off and have it just boot into windows. btw: i am on a second installation of windows xp right now :/

edit: i asked someeon in irc about this and they sadi to edit my "boot.ini" but i cant find this :/

    ok i found the bott.ini. one on the c: drive and one on the f: drive. i want to boot into the f: drive but dont know how casue it auto goes into the c: drive.

    my drives are like this:

    c:\ windows installation #2
    d:\ ftp server drive
    e:\ backupdrive
    f:\ Windows installation #1 <----what i want to get into
    g:\ empty

    contents of the "boot.ini's"

    c drive ini:

    [boot loader]
    timeout=30
    default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINDOWS
    [operating systems]
    multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /fastdetect

    f drive ini:

    and the "s" on the third line is actually on the second line where its supposed to be, dotn know why its messed up like that on there :/

    Help a little more. You have removed linux and just want to go back to a windos boot without comander now or what?

    Just trying to be sure before we start , what you want.

    ok here is an update i have installed a boot loader and have gotten back into my first installation of windows and removed the old one. but i would like to have the bott loader i just installed removed (got the uninstall disk) and have my computer boot straight into windows

    It's my vague recollection (been a while since I had a linux dual boot) that once the boot loader is installed you have to format C: /s (or whatever switch is used to remove the FAT table) in order to remove that boot loader.

    I also remember there being a way to get into Linux and have it remove that loader itself and set the default OS to windows... but, again, it's been a long time...

    i guess i am stuck with this stupid boot loader that i put on there cause the linux one didn't work because i dont wanna format and linux is gone :/

    I remember being in the same boat, and that was during my more aggressive overclocking days and before I discovered the majesty of backing up regularly with Norton Ghost... so I got data corruption one day and had to reinstall and problem solved... guess that's why I remembered anything about this.
