Well, it was Mandrake Linux 9.2 time, via BitTorrent. So... It is up and sweet so far. I DID end up losing about 24 hours of folding time on the Linux\Pentium 4 box, sorry. First, I had to download the beast, then let sdme folks suck off me (not porn, Peer FTP) to get THEIR Powerpacks (via a Mandrake given .torrent file on the Mandrake Club and a BitTorrent plus mailcap install), then I lost aunit that was 2\3 finished when I moved my FAH2 directory to new mandy install and forgot to change perms after getting it on box in new Mandy. Abort that FAH run, change perms in ALL subtrees I transferred onto CD and then put into box, restart box, forget to restart FAH, about an hour ago I have FAH running smooth and Opera 7.21 up, and the new KDE updates in.

So, will catch up in a while again to where I WAS-- as far as performance rate in folding goes.

John.

It is nice to see people running 'alternate' systems.
I am being sarcastic, as usuall

Let us know how the production holds up.

Well, have logs in part from June on for the Linux box. Still have old linuxes also, you see, and DID transfer the whole folding at home folder including old logs ro the new box. Do you really want more than 5 months of F@H logs, or were there specific questions??? If the latter, please ask.

John To Leonardo-- the bottom and top of my screen are tilting in, and it is about 45 degrees LEFT of me and angled so the screen is rotated to left-- looks rotated way RIGHT, trapezoid city, the surgeon is going to have to do some cutting, period, AND I think I will end up with a prism in the right eye and possibly the left which means glasses also. The good news is I am 20-30 with no further correction in both eyes, BUT both are stretched on opposing planes(left has Y at 60 degree CLOCKWISE rotation and is horizontally stretched, Right is vertially stretched by 1.3 times with Y plane at 6-8 degrees counterclockwise rotated-- I have not figured out X yete, both eyes see TRAPEZOIDAL) and BOTH have my level point upward 10 degrees when using both eyes (which I am doing for the first time since age 5). No driving for rest of month and possibly not until second week of December the way things are going.

John-- (Seeing trapezoids and constantly ending up RIGHT of where he wants to be or travelling in CURVES to left that are antilogrithmic all the time due to differences in planes and stretching-- oh, to read in LEFT eye, I am using 1.5 Diopter reading glasses, but RIGHT is gonna be a PITA as it likes a 1.1-1.3 Diopter tilted to 6-8 degrees anticlockwise of Y plane from its X horizontal.). BUT, still playing!!! Gotta get grins somehow. Next project, FreeBSD 5.1. AND getting the backup ISP access fixed so the Windows box can send its WUs in-- ISP acts like they went bankrupt.
