SATA and RAID 0
This'll be my first time setting up a RAID system AND on top of that, I'll be using Serial ATA for the first time as well. A7N8X - Deluxe motherboard for reference and I'll be running RAID 0.
I've done a lot of reading over the past couple of days but I'm still unsure of a couple things.
I NEED to be running Windows XP Pro as primary OS. If I need other OSes, I can dual boot, or I'll use something similar in function to VMWare. Just not sure how Windows XP setup is going to handle the initial third-party driver install.
Any tips/tricks you can reccommend would be super. Anything for initial setup to maintainence and further.

Boot from the XP CD and press F6 during the first screen to load the SATA drivers.
Your gonna know right away as when you pick the install partition if you don't have one large disk to install to that is equal in size to what your expecting the array to equal then its not seeing it right and you may need to install something more but..... generally the raid driver is also the SATA driver if thats the only sata ports on that board and thats why EQ is going "Huh" above. btw... who is doing the SATA raid on that board? Is that SI or hpt or??
Tex
SI is the SATA on that board and they are very similar to the HPT as far as set-up. CTRL + S or F4 gets you in at the prompt during boot.
