the hottest hardware is the A64, which isn't quite out yet but honestly, its going to rule. even a little after that is the A64 FX chip for enthusiasts, which is going to kick some major pentium ass

The hottest thing is the soon to market A64 CPU after the release of AMD's Opteron. For the AMD platform the Abit NF7 series is pretty much it as far as motherboards go. Most are going with Bartons for CPU's with the 2500 being the most popular. It's fairly close in the GPU race with the Radeon 9800 and Nvidia 5900 being pretty close. There will be new vid cards out this fall from both sides. Ah what a grand time it is for harrdware! Oh yea! For Intel Abit just released a new motherboard, the Max3. While I'm not in that camp that board still cxalls to me in my dreams. guess I'll just wait for the version coming out for the A64.

well the hottest mobo's these days are the ABIT IC7's for Intel.
and 2.6c ghz intel P4's
as for AMD, i think people are still fooling around with the abit NF7's and amd 2500+ barton core chips.
