Question on instant messaging software...

edited September 2003 in Science & Tech
Is there any software out there like AIM that will encrypt your information even if its logged (actual conversation yadda yadda?) Also for email such as Outlook or Outlook express? TIA!

hmmm, i think there are apps you can get that will encrypt messages for aim and msn. as far as clients, i believe both <A HREF="http://www.jabber.org/&quot; target=blank>Jabber</A> and <A HREF="http://www.nik.com.au/waste/&quot; target=blank>Waste</A> offer secure, encrypted messaging . . .

yeah, jabber does work pretty well. we use that at work. i have also used waste before, and while i definitely feel like it is secure, it can be sort of a pain to set up, what with all the encryption keys and all . . .
