Outrage over One-Button MOUSE!!!!

Ken-MastersKen-Masters In your backyard!!!

At apple's Keynote in Paris,

A few goodies were given, mostly notebooks that were in desperate needs of upgrading.

BUT THE WORST SHOCK the apple crowed was given was that APPLE released a new Wireless Blue-tooth mouse and keyboard.

The rumours were indeed true; I was more excited about this then the announcement of the G5.

Then I saw the mouse, ONE-BUTTON!!! Yes, not two, not three buttons but one!!!

It seems that Apples ego is still so big that it's leaking out of their A$$'s.

Basically, a lot of people in the Mac community are outraged, go to any Mac forum and you'll see Mac users bashing each other.

When it comes to Apples, it two steps forward 5 steps back.

I’m going to buy this $60 mouse, and melt it, then send it back to apple.

"ohh yeah, yes we can buy any mouse and keyboard and use it, but what the point in buying a Mac then?"

I'm not a IBM fanatic, nor do I like the Macs. The one button mouse thing makes no sense. I recently learned that you right click with alt or ctrl (forget which). So I need to ask, "Why not put another button on the mouse then?" I'd think (and maybe that's the problem here) that it would make sense (now I'm really stacking the cards) to allow someone to perform several functions with one hand while freeing the other. This isn't a matter of "We don't have the technology". It's more a case of "We're so unique and gosh darn it, people like us." NOT.

to borrow from my own post on short-media regarding itunes: on the whole, apple users are lemmings who do what The Jobs tells em (buy my new $17,000 g54 imac, it's the bestest computer evar, and it'll even run doom 2!!!!@!@!)

Mac hardware is supperior to PC hardware and OSX Jaguar is probably the best OS on the market. That said the stupid one button mouse drives me crazy luckly with the inventiou of USB you can stick a 3 button mouse with a wheel on a Mac and use it normally. As for the lemming comment fairly ignorant given the number of PC users that flock out and buy the latest best CPU because it's .1 ghz faster and drop $500 on a video card that software can't even use for atleast a year.

Consumers in general are lemmings that's what drives commerse. Be it PC's, Macs, Cars, anything everyone wants the newest biggest best.

i disagree. the people that go out and buy the newest video card and/or the newest processor do it because they are speed obssesed benchmark freaks who want to be at the top of the 3dmark rankings. even when it was proven that the new G5 was not faster, apple lemmings still made excuses for apple. i'm not saying you personally, but apple consumers in general seem to worship Steve Jobs as though he were a god.

Mac hardware is basically warmed over PC Hardware....

    AGP: Intel PC
    PCI: Intel PC
    USB: Intel PC
Apple finally starts using DDR Sdram (3 yrs after the Athlon 1400 & KT266)

G5 vs Intel (where's the AMD Opteron?!? availble since April 03)

The G5 Loses to the already outdated Xeon 3.06ghz (Xeon 3.0 1MB is already available) in both the Photoshop and Lightwave test
