maxtor 8mb cache drives

Geez. I expected 50,000+ but not 60,000??? Good grief. For IDE thats smoking. How much faster is a raptor then this? These run about 80 to 85 bucks for 120gb???

    That's cool Tex, my old KT7 Raid 0 (Deskstars) only managed 80MB/s running Atto.

    mine not in raid or anything gets 50 read 60 write, same drive

    TEX's atto score is a straight IDE atto, no raid. still higher than the WD's though

    Maybe you could tweak it a little and get those reads and writes a little closer?

    And that was just thrown in and atto'd too. No tweakes no nuthin. just blew me away. And its done the exact same score in everything its been hung off of too. A old ecsk7s5a with sis chipset, a promise tx2 pci card and a a 1540 sata card. And every one has been within a hundred or so of the score on the others. Awesome.
