Linksys gone Twilight zone - BEFSR41
So to start, my network is working fine. Linksys comes out with the latest firmware for my BEFSR41, I update, everythings peachy for about 2 days.
I changed no settings during those 2 days. But suddenly my network is acting weird. All teh t100 status lights on network cards, router, and hub are lit. But no files will transfer at even t10 speeds.... The network usage graphs go between 1% and 8%, spiky - very very rarely spiking up to 25% of the connection (Windows XP task manager graph).
The catch is, this is when using workstation1 to get files from workstation2. However, when I use workstation2 to move the same files to workstation1, it goes twice as fast - and still not up to network capacity. I can pull files from workstation1 while using workstation2 at full speed, but I can only move the files while using workstation1 (to ws2) at 1-3%, never going higher.
I've tried re-upgrading firmware, comepletely resetting router, leaving all computers on the network off overnight, ipconfig /renew, disabling DHCP and assigning manual IP addresses - no cheese.
Anyone have any ideas?
Router firmware - 1.45.6
Router - BEFSR41 4-port Cable/DSL router, Linksys
Hub/switch - CNet 5-port generic switch
Network setup
