Is it possible? I have been sent a DVD rom which turns out to be in the SVCD format. My home DVD player is not playing well with this format LOL. Is there a utility to convert SVCD to VCD??

You need to rip the Video to your hard-drive and then re-incode it with TMPEncoder.

Sorry that should have read "I have been sent a CD (800MB) in the SVCD format, NOT DVD. I got it ok, used Nero to convert to VCD, worked a treat.

Sounds like you got lucky and the SVCD was in the standard format, otherwise nero hiccups horribly when it sees something that may play fine but doesn't follow the default parameters/standards (especially anything NOT 480x480 and 2500kbps).

Well it worked, but I had one small issue, it did not autorun when I put it in the player. I had to select the file from the menu. Other than that it's fine. I noticed in one of Nero's menus 2 options, infinity and 5 seconds any clues??
