anyone have this router mentioned in tthe subject line?

I have a problem with it. it won't communicate between asound nic and the dlink router.

all the green lights are lit solid.

the only difference is the orange lights.

m1 & m2 lights blinks twice, stays lit for bout 2-3 seconds and goes unlit 2-3 seconds before repeating again.

does it look like the router is toats?

Could be the router, appears that it's searching but not finding anything... have you tried a different NIC yet? Are you using the correct cabling? Is the cabling tested to be sure it's working?

its beginning to look like the problem might be with the nic.

I tried to hook the nic directly to the gateway modem. no connection. could not even bring up the modem's web configuration page thru a browser.

i checked the dlink website for any info on error codes.

all it had was a 1 paragraph error code description on the 704. it didn't even fit the description of my problem router light display.
