The start of my next mod
Alright guys here's the plan i've been working on for the past couple of days:
I'm going to start off with a full tower case.
Mod 1: Cutting 2 holes in the side panel. 1 window for the top and 1 window for the bottom. Estimated time to do : 1 day
Mod 2: Before placeing any plexiglas in place of the holes, a complete repainting of the case is going to be done. The effect I am going for with this paint is the "new car" paintjob, you know the reflective look, where you can see yourself in it. The inside of the case is going to be done in some sort of reflecting paint, probably a chrome color, this will be explained why later. Estimated time to do :1-2 weeks
Mod 3: Attaching applique to the plexiglas and installing the plexiglas onto the case. This is quite simple, no need to explain. Estimated time to do: 1 day
Mod 4: Add wheels. Full tower cases can be quite a hassle to carry, first way to remedy this is to add wheels. 4 small wheels are going to be installed on the bottom of the case. Estimated time to do : 1/2 a day
Mod 5: During the same day as the installation of the wheels, a handle will be installed on the top of the case. Estimated time to do : 1/2 a day.
That does it for the outside ( untill i see something more i want to add, muwahaha) Onto finishing the inside:
Mod 6: Lighting system installation. Some sort of lightning system is going to be installed, cold cathode, blacklight, haven't decided which yet. I might even get fancy and install two two different sets and put switches on the front of the case to change between the two. Now I'm no electrician, so this is definitely going to be fun. The reflective plant should amplify the output of the lights, atleast that is my hypothesis for it. Estimated time to do: 1 day.
Mod 7: .... this depends on how fast i can get the money together to buy the parts for this new beast i am constructing. this could possibly be an addition of an lcd to the drive bays that spouts out information.
Estimated date that construction commences : December 2003
All of this is going to be logged as I go along and put into multiple articles so watch for those too. oh and armo if you want to do anything to your case when i start on this one give me a shout and we'll do it.
