    One thing this bench doesn't show is the reality that you need basically custom software for Itanium 2....

    That and the Itanium2 costs a multiple of its peformance ratio more.

    And that the custom programs are intensely difficult to write, as the programmer must write the functions in the proper order. Itanium's VLIW architecture stops it from reorganizing code on the fly. Gimpy.
