Hello, I'm looking for a monitor, either 15" or 17", which has narrow bezel and has pivot function (can turn either portrait or landscape mode)
this monitor will be used mainly for net surfing, doing office work and DVD viewing... but a little gaming as well, once in a while...
suggestions (on brands and models) are greatly appreciated...
Thanks in advance...

Samsung makes real good LCD's. Their 171P model can pivot too.

if you are in the market for a new lcd, and you are sure that is what you want instead of a CRT, then look aroud on fatwallet.com or spoofee.com for coupons and rebates for the dell monitors, especially the 1800FP. its an 18.1 inch samsung rebranded as Dell, and i got mine almost a year ago for 380 dollars, and that was a great deal a while ago, so you should be able to get them for cheaper. the reason i say dell, is they have stackable coupons, and it IS a samsung lcd. so if you stack 100 dollars off with a 20 percent off coupon, you are good to go. anyway, my two cents, and i have been extremely pleased with mine (thinking about getting a second one exactly the same) . . .
