And please don't just list another site! I was wondering because so much gret overclocking started on this very site and this area is toally dead. We need some adventerous folks to share their OC'ing exploits right here.

I just recently bought a barton and got a moderate OC from it with little effort.

I wasn't overclocking for a while. It became compulsive. I only oc'ed this time to justify the Barton upgrade, and felt like a heel not squeezing a lot more from it with just a little tweaking. Had i needed to buy better memory, cooling, or mobo I probably would have not bought the barton in the first place.

I have been overclocking for over 2 years now, and find that it's becoming easier to achieve a worth-while overclock, but to get those 50% + OC's that used to be common it's becoming increasingly difficult. Adding water to my rig for cooling, which I have done before, is not out of the question... but I'd do it for quiet and not performance.

i'd be OC'ing but apparently i got a real weak p4 stepping. i was hoping for 3.5, looks like i can't go very high above my 2.8 :-*(

Although I could do better with another chip (which I do have/ L-12 brigde 133>166 conversion done) I am out of cash to get more memory to handle going farther. I did put that other chip in and got it to 242 fsb but wasn't stable with my current memory so I will wait. I am currently on a XP2100 AIUHB 0302 MPMW DUT3C.

Actually, nebbie traded his AMD rig for a P4 recently... he's bored :p

lol, well i traded the main AMD set-up for a P4.

    What I traded:
    Vmodded NF7 non-s 2.0
    XP2500 Barton

    For

    Asus P4C800 Deluxe
    P4 2.6C & retail hsf

    Now i have this thing runnin 3.45Ghz (3450Mhz) with stock vcore (1.52v) FSB @ 265 5:4 - 2-2-2-8-4 Turbo 2.75vdimm
Vagp @ 1.6v. Air cooled with stock hsf. Cpu temp are: 29c Idle and 37c loaded :D

    The rest of this beast:
    2-100GB wd HDD in Raid~0
    HighPoint RocketRaid ATA133 Pci card
    2x256Mb PC3200 Twinmos w/BH-5's
    TTGI 520w Psu
    LiteOn Cdrw, LiteOn DVD
    Yadda,yadda,yadda

    ;)

I'm done with the water chilling thing so i'm just gonna plain watercool this rig. P4 maze3 coppertop block with 1/2in fittings, Via Aqua 2600 pump rated @ 740gph, chevy heatercore with 1/2in fittings. Time to ressurect the nebulous cube! Muahahahahahaha :D i was thinking prommie, but i just got an LCD and the P4's don't run extremely hot like the AMD's so it's really a waste. I'll post pics and screenies soon.

Well, at 3.4ghz, why bother with water? I mean, if it aint loud and it sure as hell is pretty fast, leave her alone and enjoy the PC. :)

Hmmm, what ram do you have? I don't think that ram will be able to cut the grade.
