Kazaa/Kazaa Lite questions

How come now whenever you try and download a song theres a very good chance that after about 20 seconds or so the bitrate drops constantly and the song becomes just a bunch of high pitched beeps. I heard that the recording industry was going on kazaa lite and was susposidly spreading bogus copies of some of its songs and was wondering if that was the case.

Yup, thats it. RIAA is flooding the network with bogus copies of almost all of their current songs, espcially the most popular ones. The bogus songs typically sound fine at the beginning, but, as in your case, after about 20 seconds the song just turns into a bunch of junk.

I stopped using Kazaa awhile ago partly for this reason. Also, for some reason people love naming files the wrong name, so when you download song or movie A, you end up with song or movie C.

I used Ares now because it seems the RIAA is hooked on kazaa only.

hurrah for newsgroups!!! nothing like a dedicated maximum of download speed. and a small hurrah for the emule netwerk. its pretty good cept for the damn required upstream, but i guess thats how stuff gets transferred . . .

Kazaa needs CRC or MD5 checking for files to match rather than this crap.

Actually, the whole connection/data transfer should be encoded in MD5 or some other encryption. Maybe even a few layers of various types of encryption.

bit torrent is my new pirate weapon of choice too, beats peer to peer any day, as long as you know where to find the torrents that is..
