I got my new Raptor! Hurray...

This is my Raptor, connected to my Sil 3112A Onboard S-ATA Controller.

Not really what I expected. Windows is a bit faster tho, but that might just be the fresh install playing in...

starting to get a little sick of this system. Was supposed to be the dream-board with lots of nice features. I'm stuck here with a couple of brand new s-ata drives with atto-scores that are more than a little dissapointing, and my 160 gb maxtor keep getting bad files because something is corrupting the file system it apprears.

So, what do you say?

    I finally found a good driver... on Silicon Image's homepage nonetheless... I was just *blind*

    Go to the the Asus site and get the latest bios for your board, make sure to get the one for your revision. The newest ones update the S.I. controller bios to the to the latest version (4.2.27) and is a bit faster.

    I already had that one... s-ata windows drivers 1.0.0.21 , 1.0.0.22 and 1.0.0.28 however was molesting the performance. 1.0.0.32 solved the issue.
