AMD CPU Question ???

I'm getting ready to do some upgrading and was wondering if anyone knew a good article with the differences between all the new AMD processors. Looking on pricewatch, I see the Opteron, Athlon 64FX and the Athlon 64. I am looking at investing in a 64-bit mb/cpu, but want to know what is what before buying.

Any comments or links are appreciated.

Opteron - workstation CPU, mainly geared towards multi processor applications, but there is a single proc version available... you probably dont want this

Athlon64 - your normal everyday A64 chip, nice and speedy

Athlon64 FX - the enthusiast version, uses a different memory setup and is going to be faster overall

I would wait for AMD 64-bit CPUs. High priced right now and chipsets are not very well optimized.

If you do want to go 64-bit, be prepared to fork over a good amount of money right now.
