FREE web hosting for 3 years. . .

so, i am a skeptical guy. believe me, its true, ask anyone that knows me, i am fairly skeptical as far as it comes to skepticism. in any event, i was browsing my local deals sites, and i came across this one. apparently, 1and1.com webhosting is offering 3 free years of hosting services. i first saw it, and said, well, that wouldnt be posted here if it wasnt legit, so i thought i would check it out. sure enough, everything checks out. 500 mbs of webspace, 50 subdomains, domain registration for 6 dollars a year (thats the not free part, but you dont have to do it. from where i stand, 50 cents a month is a pretty slick deal). now, i realize this will most likely not apply to the uber leet folks that host all their own stuff and what not. but, it seems like a pretty good deal to me. anyway, go ahead and post feed back and let me know what you think.

    For now, we'll see how long they honor that three years, or what sort of acceleration/decceleration of bandwidth tricks they pull when they have thousands of gigs going out the door for free each month...

    I would recommend that you check out this Spoofee thread. There's an entire discussion devoted to 1and1. I've been using it for a month now and I like the service. The usernames aren't very convenient, but free is free. :) I'm running phpNuke on my site to take advantage of the PHP and SQL.

    how do you set it up to use Frontpage

    i have enable the Frontpage extentions on the site, but cant get in thru frontpage




    has anyone had sucess getting stuff up to the website
