help! This sounds dumb, but I need a program to download my web site
Background information--for the past 8 months, I've had my own web site up and hosted. The small name web host that I've used, however, is going out of business. As a result in an effort to cut costs (I guess) it's had to prematurely delete my FTP login account to my site. Basically, my site is still up and running, but I can't access it via FTP. Luckily, I got my money back for this month
I've still got a problem though.
My dilemma is that I want to backup all the content on my site because everything will be deleted from the web host before the end of the month. Like I said, I can't connect to it via FTP. Yet I can use Internet Explorer to connect to the site and browse directories, like www.mysite.com/Files/School/COSC, and see the files and subdirectories listed in Internet Explorer. So far I've been browsing to folders, right clicking on files, then selecting Save target as... to download each individual file; but this is taking too long. It'd be easier if I could just right click on a subdirectory and save everything within that directory to my local disk, but IE won't let me do that: I have to go into each individual folder and subfolder and download individual files within each folder, if you get what I mean. Using this method, I'm only a tenth of the way finished saving all of the content. Is there some program I can tell to go to, like, www.mysite.com/Files/ and tell it to download every file within every folder within the Files folder?
I hope this makes sense. Damn my web host~!
