Vibrating case
Well, I bought a new case from NoiseControl to get some peace and quiet. The case arrived and with joy I opened the package and moved my components from the old rig.
It looked beautiful compared to the old smelly "dead cat in a bag" case I was used to.
Then the frustrations started. My computer now vibrates to the extent it makes a low humming sound. When I put my hand on the case I can feel it easily. The weird thing was that when I opened the side panel the excessive vibrating stopped. A friend theorized it could be low or high pressure due to excessive ventilation in versus out (or the other way around) because most ventilation holes was plugged due to the "carpets" (bad english, sorry). I tested this by removing some holes and also plugging out some fans, but that didn't do any noticable difference. I later figured it could be the harddrives since the handle for the HD bay touched the side panels carpeting, so I removed the small patches put in that place so they were no longer touching. That didn't do any noticable effect either.
So here I am, crying for help. I can only describe the sound as an omnipresent humm with the pitch being that of a rather "large" human male.
