Everytime my PC boots up I get this message (the ! box) about MSN Messenger 6.0 -- about oleaut32.dll being missing. (see pic)

If I try to launch it myself, I get both boxes.

Oleaut32.dll IS on my PC, in Windows\System and in a Norton Systemworks folder.

Norton's WinDoctor sees no problems.

I have tried MSN repair function and removed and reinstalled it.

Any idea where I should copy the DLL to? I tried the MSN folder, system32, windows.....

Running Windows 98se

    :)

I checked my Norton Ghost Images, and found early one with MSN Messenger 6 installed on it. That file is almost twice the size as the one I currently have, so I saved a copy of current one and replaced it from DOS with one from the image.

MSN works now, no other complaints so far.

And no - only get the error when it tried to launch MSN.

I USED to have XP Pro - but it will not reinstall. Does not like my new Vid card/Mobo combination.
