nf7-s and audigy problem

edited December 2003 in Hardware
Ive just completed my new machine, comprising Abit's NF7-S v2.0 board a barton 2800 and very little elce except a cretive audigy platinum ex. Everything elce on teh board is fine, and it does fly along id have to say compared to my old xp2100/kr7a box But i cant for the life of me figure out how to get the audigy working. Ive tried it in the majority of slots, and it seems more stable (ie doesnt reboot on me) in pci2 or pci5 Ive got the latest drivers but they make no difference. Everything elce on the system is fine, but im assuming its clashing with the raid controller as it did on my previous system. Anyone know of any fixes for this, ive been messing around with it for 2 days now with no progress, getting close to chucking it in my server
instead:( Any advice would be greatly appreciated, theres a brief sys speck below

Abit NF7S v2.0
Barton 2800 with cooler master jet 7
1xCrucial 512 3200 DDR
Abit Silaro gf4 ti4200
Creative SBLive Auidy Plat EX
Enermax 450 wat PSU
Lian Li PC 65

system is set for optimum performance, no overclocking, usbs/firewire/ethernet enabled, onboard sound disabled ACPI disabled. The two 80 gig maxtors are on the sata ports
