Is this possible?

edited December 2003 in Science & Tech
Here's my setup up currently:

Cable modem --> Linksys Wireless Router (WRT54G) --> 2x computers by cat V & 2 on wirelss.

The router doesn't have any firewall to it but I have an older D-link 604 Router.

What I would like to do is add it in the stream for the firewall -- I'm running a home website and FTP.

I've tried Cable modem --> D-link --> Wireless
--If I hard wire from Router I can see internet but can't see other computers and computers coming off of Wireless can't see internet.

I've tried Wireless --> D-link, still doesn't work.

Can't get from Wireless to D-link.

I've tried both straight and cross-over cables, I'm thinking it should be the cross-over.

I'm going DMZ from wireless to web site. I've tried cable modem --> wireless and then pointing to the D-link. Nothing

Help please.

thanx

    Your Linksys is no better or worse in acting as a firewall to the outside world then that D-Link. So long as the router obtains the IP from your ISP, it is then acting as the firewall (and thus doing its job for you).
