Can data from a RAID 0 be recovered? One physical drive failed and now the HPT doesn't recognize the array.
I'd like to access the drives individually if possible and recover some data.
Thanks,
ben

Data in RAID 0 can be recovered but unfortunately unless you know how, it's a very costly method.

Nope, raid1 is the redundancy kind you can restore from the second disk ... in raid0 it's simply 2 drives acting as one.
If you have a ghost image you will need to restore from that, otherwise you're SOL.

well, raid 0 CAN be recovered to a level..
in my scenario something went wrong with my raid controller..
i booted my pc and no array was defined (all i saw was 4 x 120gb drives, no array)
i went into the bios, rebuilt the raid 0 (it warned meh that i would lose my data)
booted into windows using a seprate drive.
"DO NOT FORMAT THE ARRAY IN WINDOWS!!" dont touch that array.
get an app called GETDATA BACK FOR NTFS, and let it scan that drive for 2 hours, guess what.. i got every single data back.
give it a shot, might work for ya,.

To assure if the harddrives are ok you can check each HDD using the sofware from the drive manufacturer. Normaly this should not affect the data content of the drive. Read the *.txt files carefully before.
