I have a program on my PC that is running fine....

On my LT that i just got i put the same program on and it says that it has expired....

Now if i set the date back on my LT the program works fine....

Question...

How do i fix this?

Is there a file i can copy from my PC to my LT?

Not giving the title of the Software on purpose, though so can we do this without divulging that?

Thx All

You've never installed this program on your LT before?

    no.....

    I just loaded it....

when i open any piticular part of the program it says it is expired....

Yet on my DT it is up and running fine...

I figure there a file that checks the system date and time and makes it xpire by that date...

If i take my LT and put it back at like 1980 the program works fine it just has the wrong dates....

but as soon as i fix the date on the taskbar...boom...EXPIRED

Did you straight-copy the files from the desktop's drive or actually run the application from the installation disc?

So I'll guess the program is legit on your DT and registered and you just installed it on your LT unregistered style.

You are right in that there is a file that is checking the date. It's also got to be fairly old software as most new software isn't fooled by turning back the clock.

Anyway find a crack that's about your only work around.

If we're going to venture into any potential warez discussion I'm just going to ask it be brought into private messaging (for the forum's sake).

    Thanks! :)
