Hi. Due to a time consuming life I have been out of the 'new computer loop'. I don't know what is hot anymore and what is new. My question is this: What is a good laptop to get for a decent price? I would want one capable of gaming. Im not too picky. Any info or links would be appreciated. Thx

I decided to go with a toshiba laptop (as my primary rig).

See the link in my signature. They make them to include a faster video card for a few hundred more (mine cost $1900 minus $200 in rebates). Includes a built in dvdr drive, 512MB RAM, and a 2.8ghz ht P4. This is as fast or faster then my last desktop, overclocked!!

The best thing to do is call your freind in San Luis Obispo, he always has good advice. But If I were you I would go for the new emachine laptop, very powerful and bestbuy has a $250 dollar rebate on theme right now.

    Will.
