I had my internet favorites in a certain order from top to bottom. One day I noticed they were all over the place, way out of the order I set up. NOW when I rearange them, soon as I close the favorite drop down menu and reopen it right up, the favs are just as F'd up as before I spent 20 mins fixing them...........Whats Up????? I'm running Internet Explorer version 6.0.2800.1106

    But its fixable.

It involves editing the registry, as always it's advisable to make a backup first.

    Enter regedit and navigate to:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ Explorer\MenuOrder\Favorites\Menu

You will see a list of folders identical to those in your favourites Inside each folder is a binary key called ORDER. Delete it in each folder you want to reorder.

Might be worth a restart here. Then you will find all your favourites alphabetically listed. But if you then go on to change them around the changes should stick.

    Until the next time :(
