SK8N volt mod

hey all!!

just wanted to post some pix of the mods done on my mobo last weekend. All the mods were done by Septimus.

the board is an ASUS SK8N (940)

vcore options are disabled in the bios when using an opteron (thanks Gh3ysus). so a volt mod was needed.

Vdimm can only go up to 2.7v, so a volt mod was needed too.


here is a pic of the vcore mod. it required a 20k pot.

    here is a shot of the opteron,we went up to 240x9, but was unstable at 3dmark.

    the cpu was at 48c@1.64v, which is too hot for the opteron.

    the FX should be coming in this week.
    At least im ready and the mods are done :D

    Hello , i have an Asus SK8N but i don't find the vmods , and you've deleted the pictures of vmods :/
