2 questions in one

Never really work woth slave drives but i bought a second HD and I dont remember how to formate with Xp.

Also if i need to upgrade bios and it crashes how do you restore bios?

    1) Put the hdd in boot up and make sure that it shows up in the bios. Then once the OS is up and running go into windows explorer right click on the drive and choose format.

    2) If you are flashing your bios and things fuck up you are generally screwed. Unless you have a board that has a dual bios, in which case you can go back to the previous bios state before you flashed it. Then you can repair the bios that's messed up. There is some chance that using the reset bios jumper will also fix a damaged bios but that is rare. However it's pretty rare that flashing the bios crashes as it does a high level of error checking before it will even write to the bios to make sure that whatever you are flashing will be accepted. If the error checking succeeds in 99% of the cases the only thing that will cause it to mess up your bios is if your computer gets shut off in the middle of the process from power failure.
