Hard Drive performance drops as I OC.

I finally have my system OC the best that I can with the current CPU, GPU and N bridge Heat sink and fans. xp 2000+ pushing 1907Mhz <weak but cheaper than buying new CPU> 52C running F@H over 24 hours now. My HD performance has dropped ALOT (30%) during performance tests. Is there any Wizards out there that have had this issue and is there anything I can do.

    Hmmm, what hdd's do you have?

    5400 or 7200?

    2mb or 8mb cache?

    Sometimes it's the ram's timings that is slowing transfer rate, but most likely hdd speed.

    I noticed a speed boost in my harddrives with raid than single hook up. I have a 120gb wd SE ( 8mb cache) and when i ran Atto the performance was'nt the greatest, but in real life apps, games and other stuff it's not noticeable.

    You probably need to clean out junk files and defrag the dive.
