Safe temperature on an NF7-S v2.0 rig

edited February 2004 in Hardware
Morning all, (well it is here anyway....)

I've recently cobbled together a new rig consisting of;

NF7-S v2.0
Barton 3200+
Zalman Flower
TwinMOS DDR PC3200 Dual-Channel Kit (2x512)
1x Zalman 80mm sucking in over the 2x WD HDD's
1x Zalman 80mm exhausting

Now, I'm tinkering with the bios, trying to get it stable, and so far I've managed to disable all the caching things.

The CPU runs at 49 idle, and maxes out at 53.5 under Sandra's burn-in.

I've twanged the multiplier up to x11.5, taking the clock to 2306, and now I'm hitting 51 idle, 58.5 under Sandra's burn-in.

Now my questions are;

are these safe temperatures for the Barton to run under? Even the standard 53.5?

I read that the max temp. is 85 for a Barton, but I assume that means before it fries, not before it becomes unstable.

Also, what is a safe twiddle to have with the memory timings?

Many thanks for any additional help. (You already helped with my choice of mobo :D )
