Wireless Question

I currently have a SMC router with a built in print server. Love it. I now also have a laptop that I want to intergrate via a wireless setup. I dont want to get rid of my SMC. Can I use one of the SMC ports as the "feed" "source" going into the wirless router? Daisy chain I think its called?
Also, I am looking at both "b" and "g" types. Not sure if I realy need the "g" for speed. Considering Linksys and Microsoft. Linksys I like the "looks" of the router and write-ups I've read. The Microsoft I like because it's designed to stand on edge , minimising desk space. And it comes with a 2 year warrenty. But something keeps telling me to go with Linksys?

Any input is welcome. Thank You Bruce

I know you can set it up that way with the linksys router as they have a router/gateway setting.

So you have modem-smc-wireless. The set up will workfine.
