Boot Virus?

I recently reformatted my HDD and when I go to install XP, it says something about a boot virus and that I should go to www.trendmicro.com.

I am waiting to try and fix this, until then I have a computer with a whole lot of problems.

    Did you disable the BIOS virus detector? I always do before an install, so it does not do as you describe.

    Just remember to re-enable it afterwards.
