NVIDIA Geforce refresh rate problem

edited February 2004 in Hardware
Okay, I have this problem with the refresh rate, before you would use a tool to fix it, but then later the drivers came with the refresh rate override setting...

in any case, i've reboot--first in a longgggggg time--and now the refresh rate is locked at 60... and i only get 60fps in my 3d games.....

i tried to update drivers and do it; the first time it worked great.. but now its back and stuck at 60 again.. the Nvidia refresh rate fix tool doesnt work.. and the driver setting inside display properties where you can change the refresh rate setting doesnt work either.....

anyone have any ideas??

running gf2 gts 64, p4 1.6 @ 2.13, 1 gig ram

etc...

I would suggest removing all instances of the Nvidia drivers, remove the card, try another card for a few moments. Then remove the temp card, install the GF2 and reinstall the drivers.

It would'nt hurt if you got the drivers for the monitor too.

Nope, don't have a clue. You can check this place for other fixes:

Old problem with Nvidia cards and NT-based Windows (its 60Hz btw, not FPS...), you can download tools that fix it for you. One named "ReForce" seems to be the best, since it actually stays present even if you reinstall the drivers. Search the net for it.
