I'm trying to uninstall McAfee Viruscan pro from my PC (Win XP Pro), but I keep getting this error:
virus.bmp
Even if I try and do a repair install I get the same thing.

Any ideas?

I take it that by saying McAfee VirusScan Pro You mean McAfee VirusScan 7 Professional. The only way I see it is to go to:
http://ts.mcafeehelp.com/default.asp?siteID=1&cnrcheck=done&resolution=1024x768 - which is the main FAQ, there is a Live Support section there, try using that

    or to:
    http://ts.mcafeehelp.com/email.asp
to email McAfee support about it.

    Or back to:
    http://us.mcafee.com/root/support.asp?cid=9045
which is the main McAfee support site

I myself hate software that does not want to uninstall itself. I curse any company that makes even the smallest mistake in their uninstallation procedures.

Try installing it again and then see what happens. There's a good chance it'll either tell you that it's already installed and then either ask if you want to re-install it or it may just install again over top of itself. Once it's installed then try the un-install again.

I manually uninstalled and downloaded a utility to remove all references to McAfee in the registry - all sorted now!!
    Thanks

for the future, the best way is to install again and uninstall as kryyst said. Doesnt always work but most times it does. It's safer as well :)
