Audio:Sound Card to Home Theater System

edited March 2004 in Hardware
Hey guy,

Once again i have a question to ask. My father has recently purchased a Harman Kardon AVR 330 7.1 channel reciever, and i already have a 5.1 Turtle beach Sound Card. Now I would like to hook my audio up to the 7.1 with a cheap 7.1 sound card, if at all possible. I would buy a cheap Chaintech or Gainward 7.1ch sound card if this works;25-30.

Sound Cards:

Reciever back:

my question is; What cables to I need to buy inorder to hook my sound card to my receiver.

If i'm not mistaken, you'll need the mini jack plug to RCA jack cables or the digital cables for the digital audio. I'm still in the analog realm so i use mini jacks ( the ones that come with pc speakers to RCA cables.

    Take a peek here

Like i said i'm not 100% sure, but this is how I do it. Then again I don't have 7.1 sound, just 5.1. Someone else with more expertise will give you a better idea.
