Windows Folder Compression problem after win ace/rar/zip installed

After I recently installed these compression programs the standard windows compression went away. I would like to get it back. I am using the password feature of it and things just don't save or move smoothly through a winzip folder, I liked the old way better. How do I do this?

    uninstall it. as far as i know that should take care of it

    Uninstall the 3rd party compression apps, then windows should take back the zip file association, then when reinstalling the compression apps be sure to deselect the zip association (they always give you the option).
