Any *bad* news about the Abit AN7?

edited March 2004 in Hardware
Ok, so I've heard all the cool things about this board and read all the great reviews about it. But what I'm looking for is the bad and not-so-easily-found news on this board. Has anyone heard of any errors, installation problems, driver errors, hardware conflicts. Anything specific that you have heard, anything at all would help me in my new mobo purchase decision.

Will be running: antec true550, amd athlon XP 2000+, 512 pc2700, asus 9600xt, 2 WD 80GB, TDK VeloCD CD-RW, Pioneer DVD-ROM.

Thanks for your help. :-)

    Well, 2 things i found when i had my 3 NF7-s 2.0's

    1) The Vdimm overvolts : If you set the vdimm to 2.65v in bios, on desktop with MBM5 it will read 2.75v. Overvolts something like .10v

    2) The Vcore undervolts: If you set the vcore to 1.7v in bios, on desktop with MBM5 it will read 1.62v. Undervolts something between .07v-.11v.

Also you need cpu fan with the RPM wire hooked up to the cpu fan header for it too boot. Plus if you decided to swap out the NB cooler, be sure that fan is plugged to the NB fan header also otherwise it will not boot.
