AMD Athlon XP 2000+ Palomino OC Results
I overclocked my AMD Athlon XP 2000+ (Palomino core) today. It seems I got to a stable limit.
The CPU is locked so I only OC'ed it by the FSB.
It is now 147 FSB x 12.5 = so a not bad 1841 MHz. The Vcore had to go up to 1.8V as well as the Vdimm to 2.8 to ensure stability. I tested with 3dMark2001SE, 3dMark2003 and Prime95. Everything is once again stable. The stable low temp. is 32C (watercooled). Didn't check the highest possible, but I'm guessing will be no more than 35-36C.
Both at 150fsb and 149fsb it was unstable no matter what I did, I left 148 as a safe margin.
A big thanks goes to Citrixmeta who helped me a lot through MSN Messenger!

Your Amish Daddy, I had the specs up in my sig most time, but changed it to DAoC, sometime, cause I well play Dark Age of Camelot.
Anyway if you ever check back these forums, here they are:
AMD Athlon XP 2000+ Palomino
MSI KT3 Ultra2
256DDRAM 333MHz max noname
Quantum Fireball 20gig 7200rpm
IBM 40gig 7200rpm
Abit Siluro GF4 Ti4200
er I think thats all ya need, thats what stats where back when I was overclocking
Right now I have 768ram tho.. and still same rig. Planning to upgrade in the coming month to an A64. My rig might look poor, but it performs great on all the games I've played so far. Well.., maybe Farcry on high quality complained a bit. But on medium quality settings it was very smooth.
