Thermaltake v7000a

edited April 2004 in Hardware
Hi, i have just upgraded my system from a dell precision p4 1,3 to
prescott p4 2.8 ht 1mb l2 cache
asustek p4p800e deluxe
512mb ddr ram cl2.5
hd`s taken from my old computer (120gb 2mb , 2 30gb)
graphics card also from my old computer (pointofview ti4200 128mb 8x agp)
I also bought the Thermaltake WinGo v7000a case. It has 5 fans. two exaust fans and three intake fans. the whole setup looks good and air is passing through all the case. it also says Tambient: 38°C , Intel thermal requirement validated
i need your opinion of the computer, if i made any mistake on the hardware and if somebody can explain me what is that 38c means and if the case is good

well, the case temp all depend on ur room temp.

is the case temp close to ur room temp?

just make sure, u are pulling air into the case from the front, and pushing from the back (exhaust)

The room tempereture is about 25-27c. it puts air from top, front and side and pulls air out from side and back. i don`t know about the temperature inside the case but the air that is coming out is not hot

i think everything should be ok then, prescotts put out alot of heat but thats fine.
what kind of heatsink are you using? do u wanna overclock soon?

i am using the standard intel heatsing for now. i want to change it but don`t know what to put. anyone with any ideas??? i was thinking for the zalman but that 750g weight seems to me little too much as intel recommends as 450g for max. i am planning for overclocking in the future.

The only thing that i really want now is good cooler for the cpu. the thing is i am afraid of the weight of this heatsinks as they exceed the max weight that intel says.

i have the intel heatsink that comes with the cpu. the cpu temp. is 50-55 c and motherboard up to 33 c. is this temperatures good or bad. i haven`t overclocked my cpu. somebody told my that mayby i putted the heatsink incorrectly and doesn`t touch the whole area of the cpu. it is a prescott 2.8e with 1mb cache and 0.09nm technology.
