Question about SATA and IDE

edited April 2004 in Hardware
Can you have both IDE and SATA hard drives connected at the same time? I want to use my existing IDE drive for my system drive and add 2 SATA drives in a RAID setup for capturing video. If it is possible I will only need to buy 80GB drives. If not I will need larger drives to accomodate the OS, apps and captured video.

System: Asus K8VSEDX, Athlon64 3000+, Seagate 120GB (IDE), 1.5GB RAM.

Thanks

Thanks for the reply. I setup the RAID array with 2 120GB drives (good deal on them). It was extremely easy and quick to do. I now have 1 HD on IDE 1 (system and some apps), 1 CD-RW on IDE 2, and 2 SATA drives with no problems.
